I never really got into Hole. I thought the single “Celebrity Skin” was charming, especially the video with that redhead whimsically singing alongside Courtney Love. There’s quite a bit of Google on Melissa Auf Der Maur, whose done a lot of interesting stuff since Hole.
She also did this rather enchanting song with the French band Indochine. It doesn’t feel as gay the 2nd time you watch it. Ok, maybe it does. Just listen to it without looking.

Melissa Auf Der Maur is a great bassist. She fit in seamlessly when she joined the Smashing Pumpkins after Hole’s demise. Last I heard, she was trying to get a project started with Louise Post.
