Events..

I texted Lauren today and she informed me for this blog…I am known the one and only  House Head of the site. I said that she could refer to me as the ex-Etard, she called me silly. Anyway its been awhile since I wrote anything so I figured it was time to do an entry.

Despite all of the amazing DJ’s I have been able to see live, there are a few events that I still want to attend. WMC (Winter Music Conference) which is held in South Beach every year. I don’t know if it is for the vast collection of top rated DJ’s or the fact its South Beach Oh and going to Ibiza for a few weeks would be next on my list. Hot girls + house music + dancing till the sun comes up = oops, not an option for me anymore. Damn sobriety! For those of you have the money and can drink from sunset to sunrise for 7 days straight…check out WMC or Ibiza.

Since WMC & Ibiza are basically never going to happen now that I am sober, I would absolutely love to see Tiesto, Desyn Masiello, Deep Dish or Sasha. I just missed out on seeing Tiesto in Vegas, crap Sin City is not an option for me either. I guess I’ll have to wait for them to have an event in California. When that happens I’ll be there!

Top 10 Live Performances Attended

1. Paolo Mojo
2. Colette
3. Kaskade
4. Ko Kimura
5. Luke Chable
6. Jimmy Van M
7. Satoshi Tomie
8. The Low End Specialist
9. Behrouz
10. Moshic

I have been very fortunate to be able to attend all of these DJ’s performances. Paolo was banging out some killer tune’s. At one point he blew the fuse midway through his set. Super cool. Colette and Kaskade are vocal house artist, not only is Colette hot she also has an amazing voice. Kaskade has done remixes of some famous artist and their beats get the girls dancing like no other=) Ko Kimura and Satoshi are resident DJ’s at some of Japan’s premiere clubs. Luke Chable is cocky and can be an ass, but his skills are top notch and he has produced some awesome tracks. Jimmy Van M is an absolute party animal who has worked with some of the BIGGEST names in house music. He frequently visits Hawaii…if you have a chance to check out his shows, do it. The  Low End Specialist have dope ass bass lines which will have you dancing the night away. I don’t know why I put Behrouz and Moshic last because their after hour set’s were classic. 6+ hours of spinning just for a select few of us are memories i’ll never forget.

I also have to include Ramyt (Archangel), Jimmy James, DJ Akio & Miklos as one of the greatest collaborations of DJ’s. They used to be Aya Entertainment but they have seemed to have drifted apart of the last 2 years. I have to give major props to Ramyt because he’s the one that educated me on what real Progressive House music is all about. he used to make me mixed CD’s all the time. His Summer Mix from 2006 is still a CD that has continual play in my car. If you ever want to hear great live house music on a regular basis in Hawaii…check out any shows that these guys play at.
