The Power Of Christ Compels You!
HOLY FUCKING SHIT, CREED’S BACK!
From People.com (with additional “commentary” from O-Dogg in bold)
After a six-year hiatus, multi-platinum selling Orlando-based rock band Creed have returned with a new record tentatively titled Full Circle. (Now I have the strength to go on living.)
“We never felt like we weren’t together,” says frontman Scott Stapp. “We’re not looking at this as a reunion. It’s more of a rebirth.” (Rebirth? Could you be more of a douche!)
Though they stayed in touch through holiday cards and the occasional phone call, the group refrained from recording together in order to, “explore other creative outlets and build the main priority in all of our lives, which is our family,” says Stapp. (Also because Stapp is a no talent hack who had become a hardcore drunk.)
Ummm….
I’m not really sure what to make of this, or how pissed off I should be. I’ll let you guys decide. I’ll comment later.

Short break.
Unless something that you absolutely NEED TO KNOW ABOUT happens in the month of May, I’m going to be taking a break. My muse needs a vacation, along with my wrist. I’ll be back in June. Hopefully O-Dogg will have something to write about this month. =)

What’s A Girl To Do?
MTV has recently starting showing videos again. What a novel concept for a station called Music Television! I think it might catch on. Anyway, they air videos during a program called MTV AM. In the past, MTV would play only a part of a video and jump to the next one. Approximately 2:30 seconds — enough for the opening verse and chorus to play, thus reaffirming that most listeners have the attention span of gerbils. But I digress. The cool thing about MTV AM is that they play older videos in their regular rotation. So they’ll go from playing the latest Britney Spears song and go into People Are People by Depeche Mode. Cool stuff all together. They also end up playing interesting videos from the past, like Weapon Of Choice by Fatboy Slim and It’s Oh So Quiet by Bjork.
And sometimes they play videos that creep people out when they watch it all alone in a dark room. This is one such occasion. Here is What’s A Girl To Do by brittish songstress Bat For Lashes. Just be sure to turn a light on before you hit play.

Song Around The World
Last night’s Karaoke Diary will be a little late this week because it’s Audrey’s birthday & so I’m busy. But I got this cool YouTube link in my email today.
I actually got a little teary-eyed watching this, just because it’s THAT cool. Keep watching & you’ll figure out what’s going on. Pretty amazing job, not to mention heartwarming that people would go through the effort to do this. Anyone who’s ever performed in a band or an ensemble will appreciate this. Definitely a swollen heart kind of sensation.

Morella, Ella, Ella
I thought I had exhausted the significant corrective attempts at Rihanna’s hit “Umbrella” back when I had to learn it for gig, but maybe not.

The Man Without Fear
In early 2003, after filing my divorce papers, I did something I had never done before in my life: I went to see a movie by myself.
