Who Am I?
Well I have known Lauren for a little over 10 years. She used to come into a pool hall I used to work at and play mega touch. Needless to say…I was one of those young guys who had a crush on her. She ignored me and that was that. A few years later I started going to a bar that she worked at and the rest is history. I was one of the regulars who was treated to her wonderful voice as she serenaded the patrons.
Over time we became friends, eventually she persuaded me to play W.O.W and due to my addictive behavior…I played it for hours upon hours until eventually I had no social life.I finally realized that I had a problem with W.O.W when I didn’t go to the clubs for 2 weeks straight. It was at that point I had a choice….the club scene or a video game? My alcoholic side won and W.O.W became a thing of the past.
I honestly have no idea why Lauren even asked me to contribute to this site. Im not in a band, I cant sing to save my life, I couldn’t tell you who sang what song or in what year or who they collaborated with. My favorite genre is Progressive House music, which basically means that there are no words, therefore I wont be discussing lyrics much. I used to be able to tell you who the best DJ’s are and which Nightclub to go to…but since I went to rehab for addiction issues, that is no longer the case. I do have a list of some amazing house DJ’s that do mind blowing live performances.
I am currently living in California to become a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor. I do use music to help those suffering from addictions better understand their emotions. I also blog about how certain songs touch my soul or affect how I feel. I was once a crazy Club Kid who partied like a rockstar, which of course got my ass sent to rehab. Today I have mellowed out and usually spend most of my time at the gym or doing martial arts training, speaking at treatment facilities, or writing for my blog site sanitizeyoursoul.org
